Tip for Using KTAG:

Pls make sure the ECU power and KTAG are connected well, or it will show you the following error message:
"Communication error: please check power and connections - 0x100B"
Because the ecu power is not connected well

Solution:

1.Change another ecu
2.Check the connection between the ecu and power
If still not work, you can contact the customer service to get a new one.

KTAG ECU Programming Tool FAQ

Q: How to do with no connection, as eeprom data of FT245RL is lost? Do you have eeprom file?
A:  You can download ktag.ept file and write into FT245RL. It will be ok.

Q: I am a repair engineer, can ktag program ECU?
A: We recommend you to use VCM or VCM 2 to Program ECU.

Q: MPPS cannot do EDC16C34, does galletto 1260 support it?
A: If mpps doesn't support it, galletto 1260 doesn't support eigther.  You can try KESS V2 or KTAG.

Q: Read via BDM mode, for BMW EDC16C31, is that ok?
A: Some original factory makes anti adjustment for ECU, then it canot read via KTAG. For thiskind of ECU, you can use KESS V2 and KESS V2 anti adjustment release module to read out the data.

Q: Does it support EDC17?
A: Yes, it can do EDC17.

Q: ECM chiptuning 2001 V6.3 diagnostic software, SS77, does it need to work with any firmware?
A: This is for changing engine, ecu file. The ECU programmer can work with this software, such as FGTech, Ktag. The premise is that you know how to use it.

Q: Is it Master version?
A: It is Master version.

Q: I need a tool for SIM32 ECU, for 2009-2010 Renault.
A: You can try the following ECU tools: KTAG, KESS V2, FGTech.

Q: Does it Serial Number?
A: NO.

Q: How may I use it to adjust ECM(Engine control module) shifting of tramission? It's hard to adjust during drving the car.
A: KTAG, KESS V2, FGTech can read and write engine ECU program. Not support ecm shifting of tramission of ECM.

Q: Can it adjust air and fuel ratio of the egine?
A: No, you need to find the professional engineer in German, ask them to adjust, it is very expensive.

Q: Can you offer a tool that can improve the engine power?
A: This is techinal operation, we do not have the device recently that can improve engine power just connect with the customer's vehicle.
The progress of improve engine power in the market now:
1. Use our KESS V2,or KTAG, or MPPS,MAG KESS etc., read out the data of ECU
2. Send the data to the engineers who can change ECU program in German, England or Italy. Ask them to improve the engine power
3. Then you can write the data after changed back to the ECU via ecu tool.


Q: Kann ich KTAG unter Windows XP?
A: KTAG ist sowohl mit Windows XP und Win7 kompatibel, aber nicht alle WIN7 ist praktikabel, besser zu nutzen WIN7 professionell.

Hinweis: Please connect with the power well, also connect the ECU with power well, or it will tell that "Communication error: please check power and connections - 0x100B". If not work, you can try several ECUs.



Q: Hat KTAG ECU-Programmierer haben Grenze Anzahl von Zeiten, nur 32 und dann wegwerfen?

Technische Fehler aus unserer Kundenliste:

1. Problem eins: Update-Fehler:




Solution: If you update the K-Tag Machine, it will encouter this error picture. It means your K-tag is bad, you need to send back for repair. And you need to pay the repair fees, because it is not updated.


2. Problem zwei: Bug Fehler




Solution: If you encounter this error, it is BUG error, it is the original software problem, it means you still can not use the function, you need to wait till its update. So if you don't want to get this error, please don't use this function, the K-Tag can work normally, it is not the product problem.

3. Q: KTAG ist der Fehler "Prüfsummenfehler"



A: Es gibt drei Gründe verursachen Prüfsummenfehler: 1) der Computer-Betriebssystem ist nicht kompatibel mit KTAG, eine bessere Nutzung Windows XP oder Win7 Professional, 2) es gibt ein Problem mit KTAG Software; 3) KTAG kann nicht mit dieser Art zu arbeiten von ECU zu präsentieren. Wenn nötig, bitte fragen Sie uns für Remote-Unterstützung.
